Small business is where I come from.

My mom has been a small business owner my entire life. I grew up watching what it costs and what it's worth: the late nights, the missed dinners, but also the way a single well-handled customer or one freed-up hour can change a family's whole month. That's not an abstraction to me. It's the dinner table I grew up at. Small businesses are the backbone of every community, and I've seen up close how much is riding on them.

I've also lived the work. I spent years in home-improvement sales, sitting at kitchen tables across the valley, talking through roofs, HVAC, windows, and gutters with the people who own and run the work. Before that, and alongside it, I've worked in IT and systems, the plumbing that makes a business actually run. I know both the front of the house and the back.

So when AI started changing how every business operates, I didn't see a gold rush. I saw a gap. The tools are powerful, but they're built for companies with a tech team, and the people who'd benefit most, local service businesses, are the ones most likely to get left behind. Tethyr exists to close that gap.
